I know something you dont know.....

So this is what my thirteen year old said to me before she left for school this morning. "Mom, I just want you to know that I know something thats going to happen to you that you dont know." This does not float well with me because I just dont think anyone should be allowed to have secrets in my presents. I tried to bribe her with five dollars (that I dont have) but she would not waver. She said she absolutely could not tell me what it was but I did get out of her that she received this information through an email this morning. HUMMMMMMMM!!! Now I have no idea. LOL I dont usually get surprises, and I dont have a birthday, and really no reason to celebrate anything. She is such a little stinker, but I am proud of her for keeping someones trust so well.

If I find out Ill let you all know.

For now, I am headed to the hospital to drop off my heart monitor machine and then go look at a new mattress. My mom and Grandma are going to buy me a new mattress because I have in so much pain. YIPPEE!!!

Yeah for surprises:) It's wonderful you are being blessed with a new mattress:) Have a great night, and I too, hope that the report from the Dr. shows nothing alarming.

I found your blog from April Rose's blog and I'm officially following you now. I adopted my so and I'm also adopted myself. I follow lots of adoption blogs but hadn't found a blog by a birthmom in a long time. I love your point of view and admire you for putting it all out there!

All I can say is WOW!! You are a true angel. I am an adoptive mother of 2 beautiful kids. They are my life. My husband and I are infertile, although they don't know why. We strongly believe that birthmoms are angels among us. You are sacraficing the ultimate sacrafice to give your baby a better life. You are sacrificing your own selfish wants to give others a gift that w/out YOU they would never be able to know and feel, PARENTHOOD! It's simply the greatest gift of all, no matter how you receive it. Your act is the most selfless act anyone could ever do in my opinion. I am so proud of you. I will continue to follow your blog and your story. You are amazingly strong girl! Way to go! I pray that the parents you have picked will let their baby know how much you loved him/her. And I pray that you will find peace in your heart knowing how you ave changed and touched others lives through your gift.

I just started blooging about our adoption experiences. They were heartwrenching. I wish we could have had birthmom's as strong and loving as YOU!

God Bless,
Katie
