SUCH GOOD NEWS!!!

I just have to write about this. I have not been able to get ahold of Rebekah and Ben but I will soon because I left them a message.

I just got a call from the agency. Apparently the birth father (Ron) has been located and served and has CALLED the attorney. She said he was very nice and very cooperative. I am still processing this information because this has been haunting me for a LONG time. She said that he wants to talk to me and make sure that this is something I truly want to do. He said that he knows I have a lot of kids and that it would probably be to much for him. He would like to talk to the adoptive parents and maybe get pictures and updates of some sort? I don't know how that is all going to work but that part of it all I will leave to the agency to work out. I will not be a part of that.

I don't have the birth fathers phone number. I long ago discarded it because my daughter kept calling him and I just wanted it out of the house. I am waiting for the agency to leave me a text with the phone number to Ron and I will call him per his request. I am really excited about this and I am looking forward to telling him "YES, THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO DO."

Ill keep you posted.

That's wonderful news. I'm glad he seems to be cooperating and supportive. Long may it continue.

I can just "hear" the excitment in your voice. I think it will be awesome if the bdad can also be a part of this and get to know R and B too. I am sure that he will like them a lot if not love them after talking with them.

This IS good news as I know it has concerned you.

I'm praying it will all work out for the best. I will also pray for you as you talk to the birth dad and finalize everything.

Also as I said earlier, I'm praying for travel safety for your children.

You are a special Girl. Never forget that.

Hi,

Im new to your blog and have just read some of your posts...Im in Australia and our rules for adoption are differant here, and as i am adopted myself and a mother of 5 children and single and have been for 6 years..im just a bit floored..As i am adopted, adoption for my baby who is 1 year old now was not an option...Do you get to keep in contact with your child? Do your children get to know their sibling? Sorry if i seem abit nosey or rude..but if i had the chance to know my birth mother and father and any brothers and sisters my life wouldn't feel like so many peices are missing..Have you spoken to any adopted people to get their input at all? I am 37 years old and still searching for the answers..

Sorry again if i come across a bit rude

To the person in Australia. You did not come accross rude at all. I would email you but dont have your email address. This adoption will be completely open. The baby will NEVER wonder who or where his birth mother is and hopefully will never wonder where his birth father is as well. I will always be in contact with them and I will send letters to him so he can read them later in life. There will be no secrets or peices to put together for him. This was very important for me because I did do research and I did talk to people that were adopted and it seemed that most of there pain came from not knowing whare they came from.

I hope you find answers for your own peice of mind. I cant imagine not knowing whare I came from.

Im glad you visited my blog, and feel free to ask any questions you want.

God bless,
Rebekah
